Practicing Some Shapes 0

Thought I would post an update on my Heart This doodle. Still a few things to do & sort out. Almost there. :) Click on the tabs to see the up to date version and the original one.

I was in Photoshop the other night & I thought I would throw down some shapes over an old sketch I did. Not really sure where I was going with it, but I might put some real colour to it some time. Just thought I would show you. :)

The original sketch of Heart This that I doodled while waiting for a Fractal to render.

What are you doing, man? That’s Weird! 0

Well hello there,

Its been a very long while since I last updated this blog properly. Things have been a little busy these past few weeks. I’ve had a new phone line installed, set up a new internet connection over said phone line and my new Samsung monitor decided to stop working, after having it for about 4-5 days. :(

The new phone line was pretty simple, call up BT and arrange for one of their engineers to come round and install it, he arrived around 11-12pm & wasn’t done ’till about 5pm so much damn messing around. That cost a nice £130 to set-up, luckily for me my mother was nice enough to pay the set-up fee because I have nowhere near that amount of money jus’ laying around. Good ol’ mum. ;)

Setting up the internet was also a little tricky because I didn’t have any money in my account to pay for the first month so I had to wait a few days. When I did have the cash, it seems that Tiscali were having some troubles with somethin’ or other and it wouldn’t detect my line so after a few hours of trying the website over again I finally got through. That should be sorted within 15 days. :)

The new Samsung monitor was a bit of a pain to get replaced. It died mid Sunday so there was pretty much nothing that could be done at that time. I am assuming it was some sort of power problem because there was a picture while the monitor was searching for a cable source but it went blank after that, plus there was this faint buzzing noise whenever I plugged in the power cord to the back of the monitor. I tested it out a bit first to make sure it wasn’t the cables or some such, had no luck. Tried it on my sisters PC to see if it was just my computer being a cunt, still didn’t work.

While I was sleeping my mother [she likes to complain, but don't we all] went down to the shop we got it at and she asked the gent behind the counter what to do, he just fobbed her off with a phone number. Me being me I kinda put off the calling them because I really hate using phones. Its a good job I did really, while mum was in the same shop eyeing up new MP3 players for when she goes back to Africa again, she asked a different gent & he said just to bring it in as is and they will replace it, but they only had the monitor on display left except for in the main shop. It was Sunday so it would have cost an arm and a leg to get a Taxi to the main shop so we agreed and got the monitor at a lower price with 4 year warranty. Sorted.

Oh! And while we were stood there chatting to the chaps we found out that whenever they get the boxes and stuff from the upstairs storeroom they get accosted by seagulls. XD

Anyway that’s all from me. later
