Well it doesn’t look like I’m getting that job at B&Q.

Its been a long while since I have actually posted anything that is at least a little interesting. & since my A Big Ass List post is bombarded with spam comments on a daily basis, I thought I would do a similar post. But one of my entire desktop this time, instead of just Firefox.

Desktop

Visual Style: MockingBird (1.06MB) – Entitled MockingBird because I based the design on the default Songbird theme. I built it over the top of CleanGlass by eoin to save me some time. I got rid of a lot of the start menu to simplify things. There is no longer any right side to the start menu, just the pinned shortcuts and the programs list.It doesn’t have the shutdown/logoff buttons, so I use the Vist Shut Down Menu script & slap that bad boy on RocketDock.

The visual style is ‘as is’ everything I use has been finished but its not really complete, so if there is something that you want me to add/change give me a bell & I will sort it out for you.

To use the visual style install VistaGlazz & patch your system files. Extract the folder in the .zip file to “Windows\Resources\Themes” & then run the MockingBird theme file to apply the visual styler otherwise it will look a little odd (I accidentally screwed over some of the fonts but it seems to work fine using the .theme file).

Browseui: MockingBird (500KB) – Created using the Songbird back & forward buttons to match the visual style.

In order to use these you will have to take ownership of the “browseui.dll” file in “Windows\System32″, I would suggest using This. Then just rename the default “browseui.dll” to something like “browseui_old.dll” then copy the one in the .zip file above to the same folder. You will need to logout & in again to see the change.

RocketDock: Mockingbird (7.73KB) – A theme to match the visual style for the dock software RocketDock.

Simply extract the folder form the .zip file to “Program Files\RocketDock\Skins” & switch to the theme in the dock setting.

Wallpaper: END IS NEAR SANS TXT by kspahr.

Icons: Super Turbo Tango Patcher – Tango icons.

Firefox Extentions

Adblock Plus – Ever been annoyed by all those ads and banners on the internet that often take longer to download than everything else on the page? Install Adblock Plus now and get rid of them.

AeroFX – This simple addon adds the Aero Glass interface to FireFox 3+.

BlockSite – BlockSite is an extension, which automagically blocks websites of your choice. Additionally, this extension will disable all hyperlinks to these websites, by just displaying the link text without the clicking functionality. This extension should by no means be used for parental control or access control purposes, just because it isn’t secure and can easily be disabled or even removed. This extension adds the site blocking functionality that was removed from Adblock Plus.

Download Statusbar – View and manage downloads from a tidy statusbar – without the download window getting in the way of your web browsing.

DownThemAll! – The first and only download manager/accelerator built inside Firefox!

FireShot – FireShot is a Firefox extension that creates screenshots of web pages (entirely or just visible part).

Fission – Fission combines address bar and progress bar (Safari style). This makes the progress bar more visible and allows for a nice visual effect.

IdentFavIcon – Use identicons to automatically generate favicons for sites without one.

Menu Editor – Rearrange or remove menuitems from the main context menu (right-click menu) and main menubar (File Edit View etc.).

Menu Icons Plus – Adds icons to your Firefox menus and also includes toolbar tweaks. Choose from the built-in icon sets or import your own.

Minimize To Tray Enhancer – Adds extra needed features to MinimizeToTray.

MinimizeToTray – Minimizes Mozilla windows into the system tray. Also includes a right clickable tray icon menu to further load only the windows you want visible.

New Tab Button Position – Customize the new tab button position.

Nightly Tester Tools – Useful tools for the nightly tester. Lets you use older addons, etc.

Open Image In New Tab – Adds right-click context menu item for opening images in new tabs.

Paste and Go 3 – Paste and Go 3 lets you Paste URL/Text and Load/Search It Immediately.

Personal Menu – “Menus Toolbar” item is now available in Toolbar Context Menu and you may hide it forever! So let’s replace the conservative menus and gather all useful commands into a compact and tiny button!

Stylish – Restyle the web with Stylish, a user styles manager.

Tab Mix Plus – Tab Mix Plus enhances Firefox’s tab browsing capabilities. It includes such features as duplicating tabs, controlling tab focus, tab clicking options, undo closed tabs and windows, plus much more. It also includes a full-featured session manager.

Tree Style Tab – Show tabs like a tree.

Firefox Extras

Theme: Tango 3 – Tango icons for Firefox 3.

Stylish: Styler(13.3KB) – These are all the scripts I use that change the Firefox 3 interface for the Stylish extension.
