Something seems a little fishy here & its not the Seafood Pizza I had last night
Molyneux driven by past failure, apparently.
"The number of people who could potentially be playing games is huge".
And the actual number of people would increase greatly if you release the fucking game on all consoles and PC’s with native support for Windows, Linux & Mac OS.
Granted, I’m not totally insensitive to the fact time is money in game development but if open source developers can create a cross-OS games for free then why cant a multi-million dollar company create a cross-platform game.
The game will also let friends who are playing the game online around the world jump into each other’s Fable 2 world and play together.
"That's really, really important to me and the important thing about the games I am creating is if you share something with somebody, and if you both share something positive together, it's a much better experience," says Molyneux.
Spouting nonsense like that but limiting the game to only the 360 seems a little hypocritical to me!
Yes Fable 2 does look like a pretty swish game but to complain that you would like more people to play it and then only release it on one platform just seems stupid.
Pete may have a great brain for creating fantasy worlds and better then average entertainment but it seems he lacks any common sense.
I may be way off the mark. It’s just I don’t really ‘believe’ in “exclusive” titles. Getting people to accept video games as a form of art is pain enough, without people in the industry limiting it’s own player/fan base which directly affects the amount of people who are actually going to play experience said art.
Now excuse me while I go vomit. Damn this jippy stomach of mine!
Later.
